ボーカリスト＆ボーカルドラマー。日本では数少ない声によるドラムサウンドで注目を集めている「ボイスパーカッショニスト」である。幼少よりピアノとボイスパーカッションを、また20歳から本物のドラムを始め（渡辺範雄氏に師事）、早稲田大学教育学部在学中の９７年、プロアカペラグループである「TRY-TONE(トライトーン）」に加入、２００７年１２月まで１１年にわたり４ｔｈボーカル、ならびにボイスパーカッションとして活動した。一般的に「human beat box」系のボイスパーカッションが多い中、アコースティックなサウンドと抜群のグルーヴ感で他と一線を画し、ファンやミュージシャンから高い評価を受けている。2008年からはソロアーティストとして独立。アカペラで培われた高い技術をベースに、歌心溢れるビートと豊かなサウンドで、アンサンブルを重視した、楽器との新たなサウンド作りに取り組んでいる。一方で、大学時代に学んだ韓国語・英語を駆使して海外アーティストとの交流・演奏にも力を尽くしており、特に韓国でのレコーディング、コンサート出演も多数。2008年度、韓国国際打楽器フェスティバル（８月）、台湾国際重唱芸術節(１０月）に演奏家・講師として参加。また、2009年3月には香港で初めてのアカペライベントとなる「第1回香港アカペラフェスティバル」にボイスパーカッションワークショップ講師、コンサート出演を予定するなど、国際的な活動にも積極的に従事し実績を挙げている。
現在、「Azoo&奥山みなこ」でレギュラーを務める傍ら、東京・大阪を中心に様々なアーティストと共演を重ねている。主な共演者には、納谷嘉彦（ｐ）、俵山昌之（ｂ）、西藤大信（ｇ）、里見紀子（vln）、井上ゆかり（ｐ）、宮本貴奈（ｐ）、クリヤマコト（ｐ）、また韓国ではキムヨンウ（金龍雨；韓国民謡歌手）、The Solist(アカペラグループ)など。74年、横浜出身。


Kaichiro Kitamura is a Singer and Vocal percussionist in Japan. He was a member of TRY-TONE, one of the popular A cappella group in Japan, and he quitted his career in the group at the end of 2007. Kaichiro was born in 1974, and started playing Vocal percussion in his childhood. His method is really unique, he can make sounds both breathing in and out, it helps to play the vocal drumming much more easier. And also his sounds are really grooving in the instrument band as well as the chorus group, Kaichiro had known as the pioneer of vocal percussion not only in Japan, but also in some asian countries. In Taiwan, he had a vocal drumming workshop for singers in 2007 Taiwan Choral ensemble Festival, and in South Korea, he had been there more than 30 times, he had so many workshops for the students, and joined to some recordings or concerts as the guest performer.
Kaichiro is now a regular member in 'Azoo', and having a lot of concerts with some great musicans like; Yoshihiko Naya(p), Masayuki Tawarayama(b), Hironobu Saito(g), Yonwoo Kim(Fork Singer In South KOREA) etc. He is trying to apply his vocal drumming technique to the Jazz,
And this year ,he is invited to 'Korea International Drumming Festival (Aug) as the player, and 'Taiwan International Choral Ensemble Festival' as the jury in the competition and the masters for the master classes(Oct). In 2009, he is invited to 'Hong Kong A cappella festival' as the master and the guest performer(Mar).
