2008.01.01～

「ジャンルにとらわれない良質の音楽を」をテーマに、納谷嘉彦（ｐｆ）、俵山昌之（ｂ）らが中心となって２００６年１月に結成。以降、東京を中心にライブを展開し、質の高い洗練されたサウンドで観客を魅了してきました。各メンバーで持ち寄るオリジナル曲の多彩さも魅力のひとつで、「奥山みなこ」の確かな歌唱力と、JAZZ界で活躍している他メンバーの高い演奏力で、楽しく聴き応えのある内容となっています。2008年からは元トライトーンのボイスパーカッション北村嘉一郎もメンバーに加入。他に類のないボイスパーカションを活用したサウンド作りもグループの新しい特長になりました。JAZZをベースにしながらも、ポップスの軽快さを大切にして、気楽に楽しめるステージを目指しています。

"Provide sophisticated music based on JAZZ and POP" is their basic band concept. "Azoo" was formed by Yoshihiko Naya(pf) and Masayuki Tawarayama(b) on January 2006. They invited some musicians as the member like Minako Okuyama on Vocal, Manabu Fujii on Drums, and Kaichiro Kitamura on Vocal percussion. Then they started regular gigs mainly in Tokyo, getting famous through the music fans. Their distinctive feature is that the musicians were put together from various genre as like Jazz, Pop, and Contemporary Acappella.Yoshihiko and Masayuki is well experienced player in Jazz, Masabu has been plyaing in Jazz, Fusion, Latin for a long time. Minako is from Pop as a singer and songwriter, Kaichiro is the member of Acappla group 'Try-Tone'. As a result, each member has their own skill, so that can expand their band ability to wide and flexiable. Their music is something like Jazz, but feels like Pop, The sound is really rich. It's so moving and touching. Now, "OKuyama Minako & Azoo" is ready to go to have a concert anywhere, anytime, regardless of nation, language, to share a good time with you...
